Laila's First Toddler Room

Laila's toddler room was inspired by a set of plain white butterflies that caught my eye at Target. I bought and returned them a few times, because they didn't go with her very neutral jungle theme nursery. When we received her "princess sleigh bed" from a family friend, I knew exactly what I wanted to do for her toddler room.

I spray painted the butterflies to match the letters I had made for her nursery, and the flowers to match the bedding. I also painted frames of various sizes and styles to match the colorful wall on the opposite side of the room.

Since this was a rental, we were not able to paint any of the walls or put up permanent fixtures.

Laila's room was huge! (11' 3" x 13' 4") I utilized the space by creating specific areas for toy storage and reading areas.

Of course, right when I completed it we got orders from the Marine Corps to move. Click on the "next" button to see how I converted this very large room into a much smaller, purple, room.
